The following images show the windows you usually work with.
Main window
This is the main view where you see all your recipes. You can show a
search panel at the bottom of this window and make
searches using the categories or ingredient lists.
Example: To just view all your desserts, simply open the search panel and double click
the "dessert"-category. To refine the search and view desserts with
strawberries - double click 'strawberries' also. |

Calendar
Just drag your recipes into the calendar. You can insert more than one
recipe on each day. When you are done you just
highlight a few days in the calendar and right click and select 'Create
shopping list'. |

Shopping list
The program sums all your ingredients for the selected period. You can
also add things you need that not are included in any recipe. The list is sorted according to any of your grocery stores. Then just
press a button and get the list in Microsoft Word. |

Screenshots of other windows
The windows below aren't used as often, but they are important when you
are building your recipe library. There are some windows not shown here, but
they look pretty much the same.

Import recipe wizard (cut'n paste from other documents)
There is a wizard to lead you through how to paste recipes from other
sources into the PieceOfCake database. Recipes are stored on a detailed
level (ingredients, units, texts etc are separated) so each part of the
recipe has to be identified. This is done automatically by the program, but
sometimes you will need to tell the program how to handle unknown units for
instance. This helps PieceOfCake to read more and more complicated recipes -
it is a kind of training. When you paste from Word or a web page the images
(if any) will be imported as well. |

Stores

store! The shopping lists will be sorted according to this. |
